AI Governance Consultant

Role : AI Governance Consultant

Location : Remote

Role Summary

We are seeking an AI Governance Consultant to establish governance  frameworks, policy models, and responsible AI controls for enterprise Agentic AI initiatives. The consultant will drive governance, compliance, model-risk, and human oversight mechanisms that enable secure and compliant adoption of AI Agents and autonomous systems.

Key Responsibilities

AI Governance Framework

• Develop enterprise AI Agent Governance  Framework.
• Define progressive autonomy models:
• Assisted
• Governed
• Semi-Autonomous
• Autonomous
• Establish governance standards for AI Agent lifecycle management.

Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) Design

• Design Human-in-the-Loop approval workflows and oversight mechanisms.
• Define escalation, exception handling, and intervention controls.
• Develop CIBA-based and consent-driven authorization patterns for sensitive actions.

Responsible AI & Model Governance

• Support Responsible AI initiatives across business and technology teams.
• Establish governance controls around:
• Fairness
• Explainability
• Transparency
• Accountability
• Human Oversight
• Support AI model-risk governan ce programs and policy development.

Risk, Compliance & Audit

• Map governance controls to:
• NIST AI RMF
• NIST SP 800-53
• ISO 42001
• SOX
• FFIEC
• SR 11-7
• EU AI Act
• Define compliance monitoring and reporting processes.
• Prepare audit-evidence frameworks and regulatory reporting recommendations.

Documentation & Advisory

• Conduct governance workshops with stakeholders.
• Develop governance artifacts, policies, RACI models, and executive presentations.
• Support creation of governance roadmaps and maturity assessments.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

• 4+ years of experience in AI Governance, Responsible AI, AI Risk Management, or AI Compliance.
• Strong understanding of AI governance frameworks and model-risk management practices.
• Experience developing governance  policies, control standards, and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI principles and Human-in-the-Loop design.

Preferred

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLM governance, and autonomous systems.
• Knowledge of NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, EU AI Act, SR 11-7, or equivalent frameworks.
• Relevant certifications in AI Governance, Risk Management, Security, or Compliance.

Education

• Bachelor''''s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field.
• Master''''s degree preferred.
