Welder / Metal Fabricator

Location: Nitro, WV

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Saturday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

• Dismantle metal assemblies and prepare materials for processing and recycling.
• Cut and process scrap metal using a flame-cutting torch and other appropriate equipment.
• Position, align, fit, and weld metal parts together according to job requirements.
• Perform welding repairs, patch holes, and repair damaged metal surfaces.
• Assist with repairing, maintaining, and painting dumpsters as needed.
• Safely operate welding equipment, cutting torches, and hand tools.
• Inspect materials and completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures when handling equipment and materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• Previous welding, metal fabrication, or metalworking experience is preferred.
• Ability to use a flame-cutting torch and welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Experience dismantling metal assemblies, cutting scrap metal, or performing metal repairs is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and maintain productivity.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable attendance, a dependable work history, and reliable transportation are required.
• Ability to perform physical labor, handle materials, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be willing to work the required weekday and Saturday schedule.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
