Job Description

We are looking for a collaborative, resourceful Post-Production Facility Technician to drive the reliability and evolution of our post-production operations. This is not your standard IT role. You will form a unique "tag-team" partnership with the 3D Cinematics Technical Lead to support both departments seamlessly. Join us in a fast-paced environment where your expertise in mass shared storage, high-speed networking, and managing dozens of workstations will directly enable our artists to create their best work! If you are passionate about optimizing creative pipelines, documenting and enforcing best practices, and finding ways for Video and 3D teams to "speak the same language" through unified systems, we want to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
The Creative Video team needs a technical expert to design, maintain, and speed up our post-production facility operations. This role involves ensuring top-tier performance for mass shared storage, media asset management, and archival workflows. Collaboration is key here! The position acts as a flexible support unit, partnering closely with the 3D Cinematics Technical Lead to troubleshoot issues and ensure resource continuity across both groups.
Strategic scalability is another major focus. The Post-Production Facility Technician will analyze current tools and recommend how to scale, specifically looking for opportunities where the Creative Video and 3D Cinematics teams can align on technical standards. Success means identifying ways to operate within interoperable systems. Responsibilities also include:
* Managing the backbone of our studio, including configuring 10-gig/25-gig network connections and switches.
* maintaining a hybrid fleet of on-prem and remote workstations.
* Troubleshooting complex pipeline and workflow issues under time pressure.
What we need to see:
* BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Film Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
* 5+ years of experience in post-production engineering, studio IT, or technical operations within a media environment.
* Deep technical knowledge of high-performance shared storage systems (NAS/SAN) and archival workflows (LTO/Cloud).
* Demonstrated expertise in complex networking, specifically managing 10GbE/25GbE environments and switch configurations.
* Proficiency in supporting diverse OS environments (Windows, Linux, macOS) and remote workstation technologies.
Ways to stand out:
* Experience uniting 2D and 3D pipelines.
* A track record of automating repetitive studio tasks.
* Passion for the latest in AI and accelerated computing!
