Systems Administrator

Location: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and mission-critical systems in a complex, fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for the administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of cloud and on-premises technologies, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable operations across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Microsoft Windows Server environments (2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Support Microsoft Azure environments and multi-cloud architectures.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and security controls.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, networking, and application issues.
  • Support IIS administration, server operations, patching, upgrades, and system maintenance.
  • Manage DNS, TCP/IP, file sharing, NTFS permissions, and network services.
  • Implement automation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Participate in infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, compliance, and technology initiatives.
  • Provide operational support and ownership of medium-to-high complexity technical issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or related IT roles.
  • 3+ years supporting infrastructure, network operations, and server administration.
  • Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server technologies and IIS administration.
  • Experience with Linux administration (Red Hat and Ubuntu), including patch management.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and cloud networking.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical environments and supporting enterprise systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience with API Management, IT Service Automation tools, and batch processing services.
  • Experience supporting multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, infrastructure hardening, and identity management.
