Post Title: Lighting & Communications Engineer
Location: Inverness
Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £46,155 - £49,959 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: Support the Lighting and Communications Manager in providing technical expertise and leadership to ensure the effective management of assets, policies, programmes and services delivered by the Lighting and Communications Section.
Provide and oversee the design, installation, maintenance and renewal of street lighting, illuminated signs and other electrical infrastructure, ensuring the effective delivery of services both internally and to external clients on a rechargeable basis.
Assist and monitor the Revenue and Capital budgets allocated to the area, ensuring the effective use of resources, achievement of a balanced annual budget and delivery of agreed service objectives. Manage and monitor contracts, service agreements and partnerships with external suppliers, contractors and community groups.
Lead, manage and develop the area Lighting and Communications team, including technical staff, electricians and operatives, ensuring compliance with performance, training, health and safety, and workforce development requirements.

Requirements
Educated to HNC level in Electrical Engineering, or with a minimum of three years'
experience leading teams within lighting, communications, or a related discipline.
Full UK driving licence
