The information below reflects the standard job description for this position Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications • Extensive Systems Intergration or technical experience required. • Active Secret Clearance required prior to start • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship Required *Ability to work in a closed area.

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or a closely related field
  • Prior experience as spacecraft or mechanical subsystem/component CPE
  • 12+ years engineering experience- Systems Engineering experience in one or more Systems Engineering functions including: a.) System trade studies methodology and/or System modeling b.) Requirements and Verification (DOORS or other Requirements management software experience)
  • c.) Interface Control Document (ICD) development
  • d.) Model Based Systems Engineering (CAMEO or other model management software experience) e.) System Integration, Test and/or Verification f.) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies g.) Design reviews
  • Ability to absorb technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on constrained timelines
  • Experience ensuring the physical compatibility of hardware products throughout the full lifecycle of the program
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering concepts in DOORS and Cameo
  • Demonstrated ability to work in self-directed manner, work independently, and leverage best practices
  • Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of complex problems and train others in their application
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems problem solver; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex design information, technical decisions and issues to an audience with varied technical backgrounds
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.   • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
