StaffRight Associates is proud to partner with an established industry leader to secure a visionary Plant Manager for their manufacturing facility in Austin, Minnesota. This impactful leadership role commands total oversight of operational performance, safety excellence, financial stewardship, and continuous improvement across a facility dedicated to extruded and agglomerated food products. You will formulate both tactical execution plans and long-term strategic roadmaps, ensuring alignment with broader corporate growth objectives while maintaining rigorous compliance across all operational standards.
What You’ll Do
Direct daily manufacturing activities across multiple plant groups to guarantee seamless output, operational discipline, and reliable customer fulfillment.
Formulate and execute site-level strategies aligned with overarching business targets for production efficiency, financial cost control, and service delivery.
Spearhead both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership across diverse plant departments to maintain safe, efficient, and fully compliant workflows.
Implement standardized operating procedures, robust performance metrics, and governance structures throughout the facility.
Optimize throughput, asset utilization, and production yields to consistently satisfy customer demand.
Cultivate a proactive safety ecosystem enforcing Occupational Safety And Health Administration guidelines, Environmental Protection Agency mandates, and process safety management protocols.
Direct environmental stewardship initiatives encompassing dust control, waste management, materials handling, and hazardous process safety programs.
Spearhead internal audits, facility inspections, and corrective action workflows associated with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Mentor site leadership teams through targeted coaching, structured performance management, and comprehensive succession planning.
Foster cross-functional collaboration connecting Operations, Environmental Health And Safety, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Human Resources.
Oversee asset reliability through advanced preventive and predictive maintenance strategies alongside effective spare parts management.
Collaborate with Engineering teams to execute plant upgrades, facility expansions, debottlenecking, and automation implementations.
Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence initiatives to drive continuous improvement and systematic standardization.
Implement cost-reduction strategies and productivity enhancements that protect uncompromising quality and safety standards.
Support high-level corporate initiatives including new product introductions and major plant expansion projects.
What You Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
6-12+ Years Of Progressive Manufacturing Or Processing Leadership Experience within the food manufacturing sector
Demonstrated track record leading heavily regulated food production environments with rigorous safety frameworks
Proven expertise managing complex, multi-department manufacturing operations
Comprehensive working knowledge of Food Safety, Quality Systems, Nutrient Production, and Regulatory Compliance
Exceptional financial acumen with demonstrated success in cost management and operational budgeting
Extensive familiarity with asset-intensive operations, research and development production coordination, and reliability-focused maintenance
Advanced leadership, communication, and Change Management competencies
Compensation & Total Rewards
