Scrum Master

Role: Sr. Scrum Master (PSM1 & PSM2 Required)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite from Day 1)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Personalization Scrum Master to lead our Agile teams in the software development domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Scrum methodologies, particularly in the telecommunications sector, and a proven track record of fostering high performing teams. This role requires a servant leader who can empower teams, facilitate creativity, and ensure the successful delivery of high value increments.

Responsibilities:

• Guide Scrum teams in the application of Agile/Scrum practices as defined in the Scrum Guide.
• Lead, train, and coach the organization in Scrum adoption, collaborating with other Scrum Masters for process improvement.
• Assess the maturity of Scrum teams and provide tailored support and coaching to enhance their capabilities sustainably.
• Ensure all Scrum events are conducted effectively, facilitating as needed to maintain productivity and adherence to timeboxes.
• Promote continuous improvement and assist Scrum Teams in delivering increments that meet the Definition of Done.
• Support the Product Owner in defining Product Goals and managing the Product Backlog effectively.
• Encourage the Scrum Team to create clear and concise Product Backlog items.
• Remove impediments to team productivity, shielding them from non-essential external influences.
• Empower teams to foster creativity while ensuring quality and monitoring iteration progress towards successful completion.
• Build and maintain a trusting and safe environment for team members to raise issues without fear of blame or judgment.
• Apply Scrum and Evidence Based Management principles as outlined by scrum.org.
• Partner with the Product Owner to enhance their role in problem identification and prioritization, enabling the team to focus on solutions.

Mandatory Skills:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with at least 3 years in personalization.
• Strong understanding of Scrum methodologies and practices.
• Experience in the telecommunications industry or related fields.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor teams towards higher maturity levels.

Certification Required:

• PSM 1 (Professional Scrum Master) certification from scrum.org.
• PSM 2 (Professional Scrum Master) certification from scrum.org.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Technical, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
