Position: Data Governance Lead with Microsoft Fabric

Location: King of Prussia, PA (Hybrid)

Hiring: W2 Contract / Fulltime

Responsibilities:

• Own and drive Data Platforms, specifically Microsoft Fabric, Data & Analytics, and Data Governance.
• Establish and drive Data Center of Excellence (CoE)
• Own end-to-end data strategy, data governance, and data policies.
• Work with Collibra, Microsoft Purview, and Informatica CDGC for data governance.
• Scope governance to the analytics data estate only not an enterprise-wide or whole-org governance program at this stage.
• Recognize that OneCatalog in Fabric is not sufficient on its own. It is focused on datasets only, so it cannot serve as the single governance layer; governance must be tool-agnostic and cover the wider estate.
• Apply working knowledge of data glossary, data lineage, data catalog, sensitivity labelling, and data security.
• Define and advise on the right standards and good practices for governance and strategy initiatives.
• Expect a combined tooling + process recommendation.
• Analyze and identify gaps in data governance, recommend mitigations, and prepare documents.
• Provide proactive compliance guidance and data governance recommendations.
• Participate in client leadership meetings alongside Archana; work cohesively with her as the counterpart.
• Run governance work in close collaboration with client leadership.
