The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive hostlers to accurately position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Utilize equipment such as top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for stacking and organizing containers. • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. • Communicate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics operations. • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to established protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
