We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Audit Leader, Banking Operations Audit, to join our Audit team. This role is located in Pune.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead complex Global Operations audits. Have excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
- Manage, train and coach a team of SME auditors. Review their work and give meaningful feedback.
- Build and proactively manage relationships with key stakeholders, regulators and participate in Continuous Monitoring activities.
- Lead in the end-to-end planning, fieldwork and reporting of audit assignments - this will require consideration of complex, judgemental business processes and decisions.
- Identify meaningful issues impacting business and operations under review, challenging management to ensure appropriate remedial action has been taken to address the issues identified.
- Prepare and vet draft audit reports with stakeholders.
- Follow-up of audit actions and where necessary testing their implementation.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Internal Audit on Global Operations, Custody Services and Payments.
- Contributes to the development of the annual audit plan.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of industry best practice and regulatory requirements
- Carry out other ad-hoc tasks and projects as directed by audit senior management.
- Represents Internal Audit on projects and at management meetings/committees.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- 15+ years’ experience working in financial services or banking within Internal Audit or Second Line Risk
- Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Degree in accounting, finance, or relevant specialty preferred. MBA, CPA, CFA or related certifications preferred.
- Proven experience auditing Operations functions within a financial institution.
- Background with Big 4 accounting firms is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing audit teams and developing talent.
- Ability to translate strategic vision into actionable audit plans and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate and lead a team of skilled auditors
- Strong communication, influencing skills and confident in communicating with stakeholders both internal and external both written and verbal with the ability to influence at a senior level.
- In depth knowledge of audit methodologies
- Excellent planning, co-ordination, organisation, and presentation skills
- Self-starter with a high degree of self-sufficiency
- Strong knowledge and use of Excel and other Microsoft software – PowerPoint, Word, Visio
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including with colleagues remotely
