As an Associate Advisory Consultant, you'll support the delivery of high-impact consulting across the water, energy and wider infrastructure sectors. You'll work directly with clients, supporting the development of strategies, business cases, regulatory submissions, and asset plans. This consulting role combines analysis, problem solving and stakeholder engagement, with exposure to senior clients and nationally significant infrastructure programmes.

What You Need to Do to be Effective in this Role

  • Support advisory commissions from problem definition to evidence-based recommendations.
  • Analyse technical, operational, financial and regulatory information to identify risks, opportunities and priorities.
  • Develop evidence, business cases, strategic plans and regulatory submissions.
  • Support asset management, performance improvement and transformation work.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews and stakeholder engagement.
  • Work with Ridge specialists and contribute to proposals, market research and business development.

Skills & Experience

  • Typically 3-7 years' relevant experience within consulting, utilities, infrastructure, regulation, asset management or strategy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to structure complex information and communicate clearly.
  • Experience working with data to generate insights and recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Comfortable working across multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Experience developing reports, presentations or business cases.

Desirable Experience

  • Regulatory business planning.
  • Asset management and investment planning.
  • Cost and performance assessment.
  • Economic regulation.
  • Business strategy or organisational transformation.
  • Power BI, analytical tools, or advanced Excel modelling.

Why Join Ridge Advisory?

We're building a trusted advisory team that helps clients solve complex infrastructure challenges. Our consultants combine expertise across disciplines to provide balanced advice, better outcomes and the chance to shape Ridge Advisory's future.
