Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior AWS DevOps / CI/CD Compliance Engineer on behalf of our client in Remote. We are looking for a highly skilled cloud and DevOps professional with deep expertise in AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipeline engineering, cloud compliance, and DevSecOps practices. This role will focus on assessing existing cloud environments, identifying operational and compliance gaps, troubleshooting complex deployment challenges, and implementing scalable solutions that improve security, reliability, governance, and deployment efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who can quickly evaluate current processes, drive remediation efforts, and establish best practices across cloud infrastructure and automation workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess existing AWS environments and identify infrastructure, deployment, and compliance gaps.

  • Design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable software delivery.

  • Develop and enforce cloud governance, security controls, and compliance standards within AWS environments.

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or similar technologies.

  • Automate operational processes and remediation activities using Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.

  • Integrate security scanning, compliance validation, secrets management, and automated checks into DevOps workflows.

  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, configuration, and pipeline-related issues.

  • Collaborate with engineering and cloud teams to improve system stability, scalability, and operational excellence.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, remediation plans, and operational procedures.

  • Recommend and implement best practices for cloud security, automation, monitoring, and release management.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related technical roles.

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, infrastructure management, and deployment automation.

  • Proven expertise in CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or comparable automation technologies.

  • Experience working with Git-based source control, branching strategies, code reviews, and release processes.

  • Knowledge of AWS security, compliance frameworks, governance standards, and policy enforcement.

  • Hands-on experience implementing DevSecOps practices and integrating security controls into deployment pipelines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience resolving complex technical issues.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in large-scale cloud environments with mature DevOps practices.

  • Experience leading cloud infrastructure modernization, compliance improvement, or deployment automation initiatives.

  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Specialty.

  • Prior experience with highly regulated or compliance-driven cloud environments.

  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and cloud security tooling.
