Job Description

Job Title: ServiceNow Developer cum Administrator

Location: Richmond, VA

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow Developer cum Administrator who can manage, configure, customize, and develop solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow administration, application development, workflows, integrations, and platform support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day ServiceNow administration, configuration, and platform support.
  • Develop and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, forms, fields, tables, views, and dashboards.
  • Configure and maintain Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and Service Catalog modules.
  • Develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, Data Policies, and ACLs.
  • Create and maintain workflows, Flow Designer flows, approvals, notifications, and assignments.
  • Develop and maintain Service Catalog items, record producers, catalog client scripts, and catalog workflows.
  • Build integrations between ServiceNow and external applications using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and other integration technologies.
  • Perform data imports, transformations, and migrations using Import Sets, Transform Maps, and data-loading utilities.
  • Manage users, groups, roles, permissions, and access controls.
  • Troubleshoot application, workflow, integration, and platform-related issues.
  • Monitor platform performance and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in ServiceNow upgrades, patches, testing, and release activities.
  • Follow ServiceNow development best practices and maintain proper documentation.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Support production deployments, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, QA teams, and business users across ServiceNow initiatives.

Required Skills

  • 3–7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience in development and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture and administration.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Business Rules
    • Client Scripts
    • UI Policies
    • UI Actions
    • Script Includes
    • ACLs
    • Notifications
    • Scheduled Jobs
    • Events
    • Workflows / Flow Designer
    • Service Catalog
  • Strong JavaScript programming skills.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP web services and ServiceNow integrations.
  • Knowledge of Import Sets, Transform Maps, and data migration.
  • Experience with ServiceNow security, roles, groups, and access controls.
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes and IT Service Management.
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting ServiceNow production environments.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

 

Educational Qualifications:

·         Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent.

·         Preferred - Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent.

 

Travel:

·         Open to travel based-up on the nature of the engagement.
