The Role
The
Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role in providing administrative support to the Human Resources department. This position involves delivering hands-on HR assistance in areas such as employee onboarding, HR systems management, employee relations, and general HR support. Candidates for this role should possess a keen attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Key Responsibilities
Performs clerical & customer service functions for the HR department.
Assists HR Generalists with new hire onboarding, including processing new hire paperwork, I-9s completion.
Processes new hire background checks & drug screens.
Creating & maintain employee files.
Maintains & updates EEO data spreadsheets.
Performs verifications of employment.
Process terminations & conducts exit interviews.
Assists with scheduling interviews & drafting offer letters, as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000.
(The compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience).
Required Skills/Abilities

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures is a plus.
Familiarity with construction and/or union workforce is a plus.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience. At least two-years related HR or Admin experience required. SHRM-CP or HRCI credential is a plus.
