Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems and APIs that support healthcare applications.
  • Implement middleware solutions and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) architectures to facilitate seamless system integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements and ensure alignment with the overall API strategy.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability of backend services.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in API development, microservices, and healthcare integration.
  • Document technical specifications, integration processes, API standards, and system architecture for future reference.
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to define and implement enterprise integration patterns and API strategies.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Proven experience in system integration, particularly within the healthcare sector.
  • Strong proficiency in API design and development, including RESTful and SOAP services.
  • Hands-on experience with middleware technologies and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) solutions.
  • Expertise in microservices architecture and related technologies.
  • Solid understanding of database management systems, data integration, and data transformation techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and API architecture.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with healthcare standards and regulations, including HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Experience with API management platforms, API gateways, and integration platforms.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and asynchronous integrations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in backend development, API development, architecture, and system integration.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-level API and integration solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, architects, and leadership.
