Inspection B

Akkodis is seeking an Inspection B for a Contract job with a client in Londonderry, NH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing inspections, testing, and quality verification activities on components, assemblies, and materials to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Rate Range: $27/hour to $28/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Inspection B job responsibilities include:

• Perform precision mechanical inspections using engineering drawings, specifications, and standard metrology equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauge blocks, gauge pins, optical comparators, toolmakers' microscopes, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Conduct visual inspections of electronic assemblies utilizing microscopes, magnifiers, and other quality inspection tools.
• Perform first article inspections and generate detailed inspection reports in accordance with established quality requirements.
• Interpret manufacturing drawings, specifications, diagrams, and quality standards to determine product conformance and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare and maintain inspection records, quality documentation, reports, and supporting records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Communicate discrepant findings through written discrepancy reports and verbal communication with Supplier Quality Engineers and Supplier Quality Technicians.
• Perform source inspections at supplier locations as required to verify compliance with quality requirements.
• Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities and support quality investigations and corrective actions.
• Conduct inspections, tests, and audits of purchased materials, components, subassemblies, and finished products.
• Assist in identifying Dock-to-Stock (DTS) opportunities and present recommendations to Supplier Quality leadership.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of four years of relevant inspection, manufacturing quality, or precision measurement experience; or an Associate Degree with zero to two years of related experience.
• Experience performing dimensional inspections utilizing precision measuring equipment in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, electronics, or related technical environments.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Experience using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and standard metrology equipment.
• Knowledge of quality inspection processes, incoming inspection activities, first article inspections, and acceptance testing procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• IPC-A-610 Certification.
• Hexagon CMM Certification and experience using PC-DMIS software.
• Experience programming or utilizing Keyence Vision Systems.
• Optical lens inspection experience.
• Experience performing supplier source inspections and supporting supplier quality programs.
• Familiarity with MRB processes, corrective actions, and root cause investigations.
• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, electronics, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.

Pay Details: $27.00 to $28.00 per hour
