Description

SAIC is seeking a talented and driven Facilities/IT Manager to join our team for the HOPE 2.0 contract in Albuquerque, NM. In this critical role, you will contribute to the development, testing, integration, and deployment of cutting-edge solutions that enhance the capabilities of warfighters. The Facilities Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and security of the project within the facility while also supporting internal systems management and resource planning. This dual role requires a dynamic individual with experience in facilities management and resource/space allocation as well as technical proficiency in system administration, particularly the ability to oversee and manage IT systems and platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and leadership skills, technical expertise with facility and system-related processes, and the ability to adapt to evolving operational needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations, maintenance, and repairs to ensure facility functionality, safety, and compliance.
  • Develop and oversee budgets for utilities, maintenance, and capital improvements.
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure effective and cost-efficient services.
  • Conduct inspections, address safety hazards, and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Respond to emergencies and oversee resolution efforts for facility-related issues.
  • Manage facility software and hardware systems, including building and security management platforms.
  • Perform system maintenance such as updates, troubleshooting, and ensuring reliability.
  • Collaborate with IT to integrate facility systems with enterprise platforms.
  • Implement strategies to optimize space and improve workspace efficiency.
  • Manage resource allocation for facility projects, ensuring appropriate use of tools, equipment, and staff.
  • Establish standardized processes for tracking and reporting resource usage.
  • Analyze data to identify resource needs and provide recommendations for optimization.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or Information Systems and nine (9) years or more of related experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience in facilities management or systems administration may be substituted for a degree.
  • U.S. citizen and active TS with SCI eligibility.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities management, with a proven track record of managing medium to large facilities.
  • This position has the possibility for Hybrid work for the right candidate with up to 25% travel.
  • Experience with system administration, including a strong understanding of IT network architecture and troubleshooting
  • IT administration certifications (CompTIA A+ and Sec+).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage physical and IT resource allocation effectively.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Certification in facilities management (e.g., IFMA CFM, FMP, SFP).
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements such as OSHA, EPA, ADA, etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across multiple teams and external partners.
