Position Title: Technical Product Manager & Data/Enterprise Architect
Location: Remote- Central CA
Duration: 3 months- extendable
Role Summary
This role sits at the intersection of technical product management and data/enterprise architecture. You will serve as the day-to-day technical lead on the engagement coordinating developers and designers, partnering with the client''s IT team, and translating the recommendations already produced into a prioritized, executable build plan. You will own the data gap resolution workstream and ensure dashboards and pipelines are built to the client''s architectural standards and are maintainable after exit.
What You Will Own
<>Dashboard Delivery Oversight- Oversee the Angular dashboard builds from POC through pilot managing the handover to the client''s environment, security integration using the client''s existing role-based access framework, and the pretransformed data table build, in the client''s SQL Server data warehouse.
- Drive the weekly IT cadence with the client''s IT leadership and ensure developers are building to client standards.
- Coordinate data pipeline builds with the client''s ETL team specifically the pre-transformed tables the dashboards will read from, and the data quality checks sitting in front of them.
- Produce the data architecture decisions that determine where transformations happen (e.g. data warehouse vs. Fabric vs. front end) and document them for the client''s team to maintain.
- Translate the recommendations into a sequenced, effort-sized delivery plan to present to client leadership.
- Assess and document a dormant planning module and make a build-vs-activate recommendation.
- Define the architecture for the Gen(AI) layer near-term photo/voice capture, structured farm management system entry, and longer-term ML model inputs for yield prediction and crop rotation intelligence.
What You Bring
<>Must-Have- 5+ years in a technical product management or enterprise architecture role, ideally in an agricultural, manufacturing, or industrial operations context.
- Strong SQL and data warehouse fundamentals; ability to read and contribute to T-SQL, understand Kimball dimensional modeling, and determine where business logic belongs (warehouse vs. application vs. front end).
- Experience owning the build-side handoff on consulting or implementation engagements; not just making recommendations, but driving execution with a client IT team.
- Comfort working with Angular or comparable front-end frameworks in terms of understanding API contracts, data shape requirements, and deployment constraints. You don''t need to write the code, but you need to spec it and review it.
- Structured communicator; ability to serve as the main interface between technical teams and client IT leadership.
- Familiarity with Microsoft stack: SQL Server, SSIS, Power BI semantic models, and Azure/Fabric direction.
- Experience with farm management systems, ERP integrations (Epicor, SAP), or operational data from field-based industries.
- Background in data quality assessment and field-level cost attribution logic.
- Exposure to ML/AI use case scoping in an enterprise context. You don''t need to build models, but you need to scope the data foundation required for them
