Our Bolton facility is a key high-volume production site focused on precision assembly and testing systems, and we are now seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a hands-on role ideal for a proactive, skilled tradesperson who thrives in a fast-paced, high-output manufacturing environment.

You will play a critical role in maximising equipment uptime, driving continuous improvement, and supporting our commitment to world-class production standards.

Responsibilities – Maintenance Engineer Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of high-volume PLC-controlled production equipment<br />Planning and performing preventative maintenance on critical assets<br />Improvement and modification of assembly/test equipment and transfer systems<br />Service and maintenance of electrical and mechanical site services/plant<br />Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment<br />Experience/Qualifications - Maintenance Engineer Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, supported by City &amp; Guilds Part 3 (or similar) and NVQ Level 2 &amp; 3<br />Time-served apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline<br />Significant hands-on experience (minimum 2+ years) in high-volume manufacturing environments<br />Proven track record in equipment repair, maintenance, and process improvement<br />Experience in fitting, fabrication, and machining is highly advantageous<br />Strong background in maintenance and fault-finding on PLC-controlled and robotic high-volume equipment (ideal but not essential)<br />Solid experience maintaining and diagnosing faults in hydraulic and pneumatic systems<br />Benefits - Maintenance Engineer Discretionary annual Bonus 7.5%<br />up to 5.5% employer contribution<br />EV Scheme: through salary sacrifice and free charging at site<br />Medical Insurance<br />Death in Service: 4 x annual salary<br />For more information on this role, please contact Andy Haddon on (phone number removed), or send a copy of your CV to (url removed) For details of other opportunities available within your chosen field, please visit Omega is an employment agency specialising in opportunities at all levels within the Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Energy &amp; Renewables and Tech sectors.
