Pay Range: $50.00hr - $55.00hr

Job Overview:

The organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong Java and AWS expertise to design, develop, and support scalable backend applications. This role involves leading technical discussions, building secure microservices, and mentoring junior developers in a collaborative Agile environment.

Required Skills:

• AWS Certification (Developer Associate or Solutions Architect Associate required).
• 14+ years of overall IT experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on Java and Spring Boot development.
• Strong experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• PostgreSQL expertise including schema design, query optimization, and migrations.
• Experience with SSO, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and Okta.
• Knowledge of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Understanding of API Gateway patterns, OWASP security best practices, and security headers.
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs such as Jira, SonarQube, or similar systems.

Preferred Skills:

• AWS services including ECS, RDS, and DynamoDB.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Experience with Generative AI solutions and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build secure RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Implement authentication and authorization solutions.
• Optimize database performance and application reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
