IT Operations Engineer

A leading IT services organization is seeking an IT Operations Engineer for a fully remote contract opportunity supporting a client in the professional sports industry. This hands-on infrastructure role will work across Cisco networking, Windows Server, VMware vCenter, Active Directory, WSUS, SolarWinds, and enterprise backup environments. The position follows an overnight schedule of Friday through Tuesday, 11:00 PM-8:00 AM.

Required Skills & Experience

Professional experience supporting IT infrastructure in an enterprise environment
Hands-on Cisco CLI experience
Layer 1 and Layer 2 network troubleshooting
Wireless access point troubleshooting
Windows Server administration
WSUS and enterprise patch management
Vulnerability remediation and registry edits
VMware vCenter experience
Active Directory administration and troubleshooting
Infrastructure monitoring experience
Strong communication and shift handoff skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks

Desired Skills & Experience

Rubrik or equivalent enterprise backup platform experience
SolarWinds experience
CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA certification
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Additional enterprise infrastructure experience
