Job Description

Senior Network Engineer | Odenton, MD, United States | On-site | $116,350.00 - $210,325.00

This employer is a technology leader serving government and commercial clients, known for driving innovation and mission-critical solutions. They are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join an established team supporting a vital enterprise system, focusing on advanced IP network design, deployment, and maintenance within a high-paced environment.

The Role

  • Design, document, test, deploy, and maintain IP network solutions in an enterprise environment.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for IP network technologies, ensuring WAN and LAN infrastructure performance, security, and scalability.
  • Provide technical assistance, administer configurations, and upgrade software for network components.
  • Develop and update network documentation, ensuring compliance with security standards (STIGs).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across various network components and environments (DEV/TEST and Production).
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers and vendors.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proficiency with Juniper networking devices (configuration, OS updates, testing).
  • Experience with HAIPE/NSA Type 1 Encryption devices and their element managers.
  • Knowledge of network configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform).
  • Security+ certification and current DoD 8570 certification at IAT level II.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
