Supply Chain Business Analyst

Introduction:

The Supply Chain Business Analyst will play a key role in the logistics and supply chain industry, collaborating with business stakeholders, operations, and technology teams to translate business needs into actionable solutions. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient and effective logistics operations and supply chain management.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across logistics operations, freight/transportation management, and supply chain functions.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional specifications, and process workflows for development and operations teams.
• Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical/development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement or automation in areas such as freight booking, carrier management, shipment tracking, and warehousing.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution to ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements.
• Prepare and maintain business process documentation, requirement traceability matrices, and reports.
• Collaborate with QA, development, and product teams to ensure requirements are correctly implemented.
• Support data analysis and reporting related to logistics KPIs such as on-time performance, carrier compliance, and shipment costs.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings, requirement workshops, and sprint/planning sessions.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the logistics/freight/supply chain industry.
• Strong understanding of logistics business processes and terminology.
• Proven experience gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work directly with onshore stakeholders.
• Experience working with cross-functional and cross-time zone teams.
• Proficiency with business analysis and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Excel.
• Basic SQL skills for data validation and reporting.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with logistics/TMS platforms.
• Knowledge of project lifecycle management.
• Understanding of transportation management.
