Job Description

Client: Autonomous Vehicle/Tech

Title: Data Engineer / Analyst

Job Location: Foster City, CA

Duration: ~6 Months

Pay Rate: $37.24/HR W2

The Pay rate is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by WorkGenius.

Data Engineer – PSQA

Onsite in Foster City, CA | 5 days in office

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and scorecards for PSQA release and quality metrics
  • Query, aggregate, and transform release/version data using SQL and Python
  • Develop ETL pipelines to process and simplify quality and release data from multiple components
  • Model release- and version-based data to enable tracking and trend analysis over time
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to surface insights and support data-driven quality decisions
  • Collaborate with PSQA and cross-functional stakeholders to translate quality and release needs into actionable dashboards
  • Take ownership of assigned data deliverables, driving issues to resolution independently
  • Document data models, pipeline logic, and dashboard definitions for maintainability

Required Skills:

  • Strong SQL skills for querying, aggregation, and data modeling
  • Python proficiency (Pandas/PySpark) for ETL and data transformation
  • Experience building dashboards with BI tools (QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI)
  • Ability to model release/version-based data for longitudinal tracking
  • Basic data science skills — statistics, EDA, notebook-based analysis
  • Familiarity with AWS fundamentals (S3, Athena/Redshift)
  • Experience with Git for version control
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with data pipeline scheduling (Airflow or similar)
  • Practical experience using AI tools (Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT) to improve productivity
  • Prior exposure to QA, release management, or software quality metrics
