Client Overview

This opportunity sits inside the enterprise HR organization of a large, publicly traded global materials science and manufacturing company with a major campus presence in the Twin Tiers region of New York. The company is widely known for decades of innovation in glass, ceramics, and optical technologies used across consumer electronics, telecommunications, life sciences, and automotive industries. This specific role supports a large scale HR transformation effort spanning HRIS, payroll, benefits, compensation, and shared services across the broader enterprise.

What You'll Do

• Lead enterprise HR initiatives from initiation through closure
• Build and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource forecasts
• Facilitate steering committees, governance forums, and executive reviews
• Track project health, risks, issues, and dependencies across workstreams
• Partner with HRIS, Payroll, IT, and vendor teams on system implementations
• Drive process improvement across compensation, benefits, and HR service delivery
• Build and execute change management and communication plans
• Coordinate stakeholder updates, training plans, and readiness reviews
• Support transition of completed projects into ongoing operations
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and governance records

What We Need From You

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Project Management, or related field
• 7+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years leading complex HR or business transformation programs
• Experience managing large, cross functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders
• Strong background in change management and process improvement
• Proficiency with project or portfolio management tools and executive level reporting

Preferred / Bonus

• Master's degree
• Experience with Smartsheet and/or Planview
• PMP or similar project management certification
• Experience with HRIS or payroll system implementations
• Familiarity with AI enabled collaboration tools
