Overhead Commercial Door Technician
What you'll do You'll independently install, service, and repair commercial overhead doors, dock equipment, gates, industrial doors, and automatic doors — ensuring every job is completed with precision and safety. As we expand our product line to include commercial overhead doors and dock equipment, you'll be at the forefront of that growth. You'll respond to assignments from our dispatch team, maintain an organized service truck, and represent our company with professionalism on every job site.

The day-to-day
- Work independently or with a small team to install and repair a wide range of commercial doors, overhead doors, dock levelers, dock restraints, and related hardware
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation and repair tasks
- Perform welding and basic fabrication work on door frames and metal components as needed
- Identify and communicate opportunities to provide customers with additional products and services
- Maintain detailed, accurate job-related paperwork and submit in a timely manner
- Operate in a safety-conscious manner at all times, including when working at heights or with heavy equipment
What you'll need
- 2+ years of experience working with commercial doors
- Overhead door installation and/or service experience strongly preferred
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot door systems and related hardware
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
What will help you on the job
- Experience with dock levelers, dock restraints, or loading dock equipment
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
