Hello,

We are currently hiring for Claims Examiner Commercial Auto Litigation positions with Sedgwick.

Position Details

  • Position: Claims Examiner Commercial Auto Litigation

  • Location: Irving, TX 75063

  • Duration: 3 Months

  • Work Arrangement: Onsite/Local candidates preferred

Required Experience

  • Strong experience in Commercial Auto Claims

  • Mandatory experience handling Commercial Auto Bodily Injury (BI) Litigation

  • Experience with high-severity/high-value claims, preferably commercial trucking claims with losses exceeding $1 million

  • Demonstrated experience handling mid-to-high-level bodily injury claims

  • Litigation handling experience specifically related to Bodily Injury claims

  • Experience handling claims with authority/exposure up to $1 million

  • TPA experience is a plus

  • Must be licensed in the contiguous 48 states

  • Strong knowledge of commercial auto policies, coverage, liability principles, and applicable laws

Important: Please do not submit candidates with Property Damage (PD) experience only. This role requires strong Commercial Auto Bodily Injury and Litigation experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze and process commercial auto transportation claims

  • Review coverage, conduct investigations, determine liability, and evaluate damages

  • Process and manage commercial auto bodily injury claims

  • Manage the litigation process for litigated claims

  • Develop and maintain action plans to ensure state-required contact deadlines are met

  • Work claims toward prompt, appropriate, and cost-effective resolution

  • Communicate claim actions and processing with insureds, clients, agents, and brokers as appropriate

  • Ensure claim files are accurately documented and coded

  • Participate in and present cases to internal and external stakeholders

  • Support organizational quality programs and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial auto claims management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Professional claims certification preferred

  • Ability to secure and maintain required state adjusting licenses

  • In-depth knowledge of commercial auto policies, coverage, principles, and applicable laws

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, claim evaluation, and Medicare compliance

  • Knowledge of deductibles, sub-limits, SIRs, carrier programs, and large-deductible programs

  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Ability to meet or exceed service expectations
