Are you a Software Engineer with strong C# and SQL skills looking to develop and support production-critical applications within a complex industrial manufacturing environment?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist engineering team responsible for developing and supporting systems that underpin large-scale manufacturing operations. Working within a diverse operational technology environment, you will be involved in application development, database management, system integration and operational support for business-critical platforms.

You will play a key role in improving system reliability, data integrity and overall performance while contributing to the ongoing modernisation of legacy platforms. This is a varied position offering exposure to industrial systems, data platforms, process control technologies and business-critical applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial experience with C# development and SQL databases, alongside a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement. Experience within a manufacturing, industrial or process-based environment would be advantageous. A basic understanding of PLCs or industrial control systems would also be beneficial, although direct PLC programming experience is not essential.

The Role:
Develop and support production-critical applications primarily using C# and SQL
Troubleshoot systems and integrations across complex manufacturing operations
Improve system reliability, data integrity and overall performance
Support reporting and visualisation solutions including Grafana and Power BI
Contribute to legacy system support and major modernisation projects
Work alongside operational, process control and wider technical teams

The Person:
Strong commercial experience with C# development
Good SQL experience
Experience working with integrated systems and data flows
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Manufacturing, industrial or process environment experience desirable
Basic understanding of PLCs or industrial control systems advantageous
Python and/or PHP experience beneficial but not essential
