Elasticsearch Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Elasticsearch Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our client''s team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing a platform that delivers business intelligence and reporting around DevOps metrics, including build, deployment, and operational performance. This platform enables engineering and executive technology stakeholders to gain visibility into deployment activities, improve software delivery, and drive operational excellence.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Elasticsearch, DevOps automation, and cloud-native technologies, along with a passion for improving platform reliability, scalability, and observability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Elasticsearch-based monitoring and analytics platforms.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of Elasticsearch clusters.
• Develop automation solutions using Python and DevOps best practices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related DevOps tools.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Configure and maintain Logstash pipelines for log ingestion and processing.
• Create dashboards and visualizations using Kibana and Power BI.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Development teams to improve deployment efficiency.
• Optimize Linux-based environments and automate operational tasks.
• Implement reliability, monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning strategies.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana.
• Experience with Logstash for log collection and processing.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Strong understanding of Linux system administration.
• Experience with DevOps tools, automation frameworks, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting tools is preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale DevOps platforms.
• Understanding of deployment metrics, build pipelines, and release management.
• Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and logging best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
