Azure Enterprise Automation and AI Platform Engineer

Atlanta, GA - hybrid

Direct Hire

$145-155K

We are seeking an experienced Azure Enterprise Automation and Azure AI Platform Engineer to support the reliable, secure, and scalable operation of cloud-based productivity, automation, and artificial intelligence platforms. This role will establish platform standards, guide solution architecture, and partner with technical and business teams to deliver governed, cost-effective solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, standardization, and governance of enterprise automation and AI platforms.
  • Define and maintain environment strategies across development, testing, and production.
  • Establish policies for data protection, integrations, connectors, access controls, and platform usage.
  • Manage the lifecycle of automated workflows, applications, virtual agents, and AI solutions from development through retirement.
  • Develop standards that promote solution reuse, maintainability, scalability, and operational reliability.
  • Integrate automation and AI solutions with cloud services, APIs, identity platforms, and enterprise applications.
  • Monitor platform usage, solution performance, capacity, adoption, licensing, and operating costs.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate solutions, eliminate redundancy, and improve platform efficiency.
  • Ensure solutions meet organizational security, privacy, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to enforce least-privilege access and manage data-exposure risks.
  • Define intake, evaluation, approval, and prioritization processes for automation and AI use cases.
  • Provide guidance to technical and business teams on platform standards, development practices, and governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into secure and scalable solutions.
  • Balance platform governance and risk management with business enablement and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor''''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise productivity, automation, Azure cloud, or AI platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with low-code application development, workflow automation, data platforms, conversational agents, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cloud productivity environments and their integration with collaboration, content-management, messaging, and identity services.
  • Experience with role-based access control, application registrations, service identities, and enterprise authentication.
  • Knowledge of generative AI services, model integration, API-based AI capabilities, and prompt design.
  • Experience integrating systems through REST APIs, enterprise APIs, OAuth, and managed identities.
  • Strong understanding of platform governance, deployment, security, compliance, lifecycle management, and risk-management practices.
  • Experience with Azure AI, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure services and M365
  • Proven ability to define standards for solution development, reuse, scalability, and operational support.
  • Experience advising stakeholders on AI and automation strategy, governance, and responsible adoption.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with data-loss prevention policies, environment management, connector controls, and application lifecycle practices.

The compensation range for this position is $145K to $155K      

(dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
