Job Description

Job#: 3056345
Job Description:
Third Party SBOM Manager
Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Cyber Security Manager to lead the implementation and ongoing management of a Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) program. This role is focused on software supply chain risk monitoring, including the governance of how SBOMs are requested, ingested, analyzed, and operationalized to identify risks introduced by third-party software providers. This position will be pivotal in maturing the organization from questionnaire-based vendor risk assessments to a technical, evidence-based software risk assessment model.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end SBOM program implementation, including collection, ingestion, analysis, remediation, and continuous monitoring.
  • Define and enforce SBOM governance, standards, and enforcement mechanisms across vendors and internal applications.
  • Establish risk scoring methodologies for software components and drive the integration of SBOM processes into procurement and vendor lifecycle management.
  • Embed SBOM generation and validation into CI/CD pipelines and the SDLC, partnering with Application Security teams to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Oversee the implementation and tuning of SBOM tooling platforms and manage ingestion pipelines for formats such as SPDX and CycloneDX.
  • Establish contractual SBOM requirements and lead remediation engagement with vendors on vulnerable software components.
  • Integrate SBOM outputs into continuous monitoring workflows and align with SOC and Threat Intelligence teams on emerging threats.
  • Develop and implement a target SBOM architecture, including API-based ingestion, normalization layers, and integration with TPRM and SOC ecosystems.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required.
Experience: 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on application security or software supply chain risk. Proven experience leading security programs or teams is necessary.
Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in secure SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and application architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with SBOM standards (SPDX, CycloneDX) and vulnerability management.
  • Deep understanding of open-source risk, dependency management, modern software architectures (microservices, APIs, containers), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience in threat modeling and application security testing.
  • Ability to translate technical risk into business impact and influence senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools or dependency scanning.
  • Knowledge of VEX, vulnerability exploitability scoring, and threat intelligence integration.
  • Experience in third-party/vendor risk, supply chain security, or within financial services or other regulated environments.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, GSEC, CISSP, or CSSLP.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to influence engineering, procurement, and executive teams.
