The Senior ICAM Architect will be responsible for assessing the current-state environment, defining the future-state ICAM architecture, and developing the technical blueprint required to establish secure, scalable, and mission-aligned identity capabilities.

This role will provide architectural leadership across ICAM domains, ensuring solutions align with Federal cybersecurity standards, Zero Trust principles, and identity modernization best practices. The Senior ICAM Architect will define integration strategies, guide technical implementation decisions, and collaborate with government stakeholders, engineering teams, and cybersecurity personnel to deliver a comprehensive ICAM capability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the enterprise ICAM technical blueprint, architecture roadmap, and implementation strategy.
  • Define architecture patterns for identity governance, authentication, authorization, federation, credential management, and access control.
  • Establish integration strategies across enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and mission systems.
  • Ensure ICAM architecture aligns with Federal standards and security frameworks, including NIST SP 800-53, FICAM, Zero Trust Architecture, and applicable agency requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout ICAM design, implementation, and integration activities.
  • Evaluate ICAM technologies, capabilities, and solutions to support enterprise identity modernization objectives.
  • Collaborate with security architects, application teams, infrastructure teams, and government stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
  • Develop architecture documentation, design artifacts, technical recommendations, and implementation guidance.
  • Support technical decision-making, risk management, and resolution of complex ICAM architecture challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7–8 years of experience in Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) architecture, engineering, or implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise ICAM solutions within Federal government environments.
  • Strong understanding of ICAM principles, architectures, standards, and implementation approaches.
  • Experience developing enterprise architecture solutions for identity management, authentication, authorization, access governance, and federation.
  • Experience aligning ICAM solutions with Federal cybersecurity requirements and Zero Trust principles.
  • Experience supporting complex integrations across enterprise applications, cloud environments, and mission systems.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience leading ICAM architecture efforts for Federal civilian, Department of Defense (DoD), or Intelligence Community (IC) programs.
  • Hands-on experience with ICAM technologies and solutions, including:
    • Identity Governance and Administration (IGA)
    • Privileged Access Management (PAM)
