Location: Deerfield, Illinois
Role Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager to support a strategic infrastructure initiative focused on Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) and Azure Storage Account Access Remediation. This individual will partner with Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Operations, Security, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Application teams to coordinate remediation activities, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure successful execution of project milestones. The ideal candidate possesses project management fundamentals, experience supporting cloud and infrastructure programs, proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO), and communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies across multiple infrastructure workstreams.
• Coordinate AKS and Azure Storage Account access remediation activities to ensure compliance with security and governance requirements.
• Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, stakeholder updates, and executive reporting.
• Partner with Infrastructure, IAM, Security, Cloud Engineering, and Application teams to track remediation progress and remove roadblocks.
• Maintain project documentation, decision logs, RAID logs, and action items.
• Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage project backlogs, track deliverables, monitor sprint progress, and report on project health.
• Monitor remediation metrics, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure successful execution.
• Escalate risks and issues proactively while driving timely resolution.
• Ensure alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders regarding project objectives, timelines, and dependencies.
• Support change management and communication planning activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience supporting technology, infrastructure, cloud, or cybersecurity initiatives.
• Experience managing projects involving Microsoft Azure services and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for work intake, backlog tracking, sprint management, reporting, and project governance.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
• Experience managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders and technical workstreams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams, leadership, and business stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) environments.
• Familiarity with Azure Storage Accounts, Identity & Access Management (IAM), RBAC, Azure Entra ID, and cloud security controls.
• Experience supporting cloud governance, remediation, migration, or infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and cloud operations.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or similar project management certification.
