Job Title: Informatica Application Architect (Finance & Accounting Data Integration)

Location: Remote (candidates in Ohio or the Eastern time zone preferred). Interviews will be remote.

Work Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST

Employment Type: Contract

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Application Architect with deep Informatica expertise and a solid grounding in accounting and finance to support a state government technology organization. You'll lead the design and governance of enterprise data flows connecting financial source systems, data warehouses, and reporting platforms, with a focus on data integrity and scalable architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Define end-to-end application and data integration architecture for finance and accounting systems
Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration strategies, and metadata management using Informatica PowerCenter and Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS)
Enforce data quality checks to ensure financial data accuracy and audit compliance
Set coding standards, design patterns, and framework documentation for integration and delivery teams
Guide cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and act as the technical liaison between finance stakeholders and IT delivery teams

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years in IT, including 4+ years in enterprise application or solution architecture
Proven experience designing large-scale data warehousing and ETL solutions with the Informatica suite (IICS, PowerCenter, Data Quality)
Solid working knowledge of core financial and accounting concepts
Experience integrating financial ERPs with data lakes, enterprise data warehouses, and reporting tools
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Informatica or cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
