The Seasonal Personal Shopping Associate keeps the personal shopping experience running without friction. Working alongside Personal Shoppers, this role owns the prep, recovery, and behind-the-scenes support that lets every VIP shopping experience feel seamless from the moment a client arrives to the moment they leave.

Part-time (20 - 29 hours a week)

Creating the Magic

As a Seasonal Personal Shopping Associate, you will:

• Prepare and reset VIP shopping rooms between appointments, so clients always walk into a space that's stocked, polished, and ready the moment they arrive.
• Own the start and end of every appointment, greeting each client with the warm, personal attention that sets the tone for their visit.
• Coordinate daily with security on the day's appointment schedule, so every client is expected, verified, and welcomed without delay.
• Partner with Personal Shoppers to keep product flowing in and out of the room, so the shopper never has to step away from the client mid-appointment.
• Stay close to the pace of every shop, helping the shopper keep things moving so the next client's appointment always starts on time.
• Ring up and pack purchases with the same care a client gave to choosing them, so the visit feels special right up until the very end.
• Work with Operations to ship and track each client's purchases, so a client's shopping experience doesn't end when they leave the room; it follows them home.
• Flex into ad hoc or larger group appointments, VIP tours, or events, covering or picking up wherever the moment calls for it, to protect the experience FAO clients count on.
• Capture clear, client-ready product photos to support virtual shopping requests, giving Personal Shoppers what they need to close sales remotely.

• Personal Shoppers trust you to keep product moving, so they never have to step away from a client.
• Purchases are packed, shipped, and tracked with the same care they were chosen with.
• Whether it's a quick photo for a virtual shop or an extra pair of hands at an event, you show up ready and make it look effortless.
• You're the steady, adaptable presence the team counts on, whatever the moment calls for.
  

This role aligns with Level 1 in our Career Framework and provides a strong foundation for progression into Personal Shopper roles (Level 2).

• A love for helping people and creating a calm, welcoming experience for clients.
• Strong organizational skills, staying on top of multiple moving pieces without missing a beat.
• Comfort taking direction and executing tasks with accuracy and care.
• Clear, proactive communication skills.
• A genuine interest in the FAO Schwarz brand and the world of personal shopping.
• Flexibility to work across days, evenings, and weekends, with the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
