Job Description

The successful candidate for the Engineering Finance Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Mission Critical Communications segment by delivering insightful analytics and recurring financial reporting to drive informed decision‑making. This role partners closely with Engineering and cross-functional teams to provide proactive support, ad‑hoc analysis, and project-driven insights. Essential Functions

  • Weekly DL analysis to review mix of Global, Defense, IHO on all colors of
  • Review and analyze Department Expense for errors, identify and correct for
DL Utilization reporting (backup)
OT reporting
Capital support - Umbrella AFE's, adhoc assistance (backup)/annual AOP
support
Sustaining Engineer Reporting/Analysis
Revenue/Compliance/Cost Savings Reporting/Analysis
Manage Trackers, actuals reporting, laison with Eng. Teams, forecasting

(PG04, PG07, PG11)
Roll trackers/IWAs/Open projects
Special projects, ad hoc reporting, backup tasks as needed
RPM Backup/Cross-training

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate
Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience of progressive finance or business analysis experience, ideally supporting engineering, R&D, or
Technical operations

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience supporting engineering, R&D, or technology-driven project
  • Working knowledge of capital project accounting, ROI analysis, or product
  • Experience with advanced analytics, and/or data automation strongly
Proficiency with enterprise reporting tools such as Power BI highly desired.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to
interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools such as Excel, Power BI, SAP,
Hyperion, or equivalent platforms.
  • Proven experience supporting monthly close, forecasting, budgeting, and
  • Strong business partnering skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive process
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial
  • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving mindset, and a proactive

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $67,000 - $124,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
