Are you passionate about technology and enjoy solving problems that make a real difference to people's day? We're looking for an IT Support Technician to join our Information Technology team in Hobart, supporting the technology that keeps our people connected and our operations running smoothly.

Reporting to the Senior Systems Administrator, you'll provide Level 2 technical support across a broad range of technologies, delivering exceptional customer service while helping our people stay productive every day. This role is based in Hobart, with occasional travel to nearby Tassal sites including Margate and Huonville.

About the Role

As an IT Support Technician, you'll play an important role in supporting our people across the business by resolving technical issues and delivering responsive, customer-focused IT support. From troubleshooting hardware and software issues to supporting Microsoft technologies and mobile devices, you'll help ensure our teams have the tools they need to succeed.

Working as part of a collaborative Information Technology team, you'll also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, sharing knowledge and helping enhance the overall support experience.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver timely Level 2 technical support to employees, both onsite and remotely.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, Microsoft 365, mobile device and audio-visual technology issues.
• Manage support requests through to resolution, ensuring agreed service levels are achieved.
• Build trusted relationships by providing professional, customer-focused technical support.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the continuous improvement of knowledge articles and support processes.
• Collaborate with the broader Information Technology team to identify recurring issues and improve service delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• Previous experience providing IT support or working within a Service Desk environment.
• Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting hardware, mobile devices and audio-visual technologies.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A current Australian Driver Licence.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

• Experience using service management platforms such as ConnectWise or
• Microsoft certifications.
• A Certificate IV or Diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline.
