The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move and stack shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks accurately and safely. • Navigate and manage container placement within the intermodal yard. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements. • Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a secure work environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is required. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs. • Willingness to work a night shift schedule, including weekends and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. • Basic communication skills for teamwork and coordination.
