Senior Network Engineer
Support a major network infrastructure and technology modernisation program!

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors. FinXL is seeking a number of Senior Network Engineers to join our consulting team in Sydney. FinXL has several long-term engagements supporting one of our key banking clients on an infrastructure and technology modernisation program. In this key assignment, you will design, implement, and hand over critical networking constructs to support large-scale migration phases. Please note that these roles are strictly onsite, requiring you to be based in Sydney and hold a valid work visa.

Responsibilities
  • Deploy and configure complex networking constructs across Cisco ASA and ACI.
  • Translate high-level design specifications into concrete firewall configurations.
  • Execute passive and canary deployments and validate rule sets.
  • Configure and manage F5 GTM and LTM appliances for traffic distribution.
  • Prepare and execute rigorous change control and rollback procedures.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery compliance via F5 integration.
  • Monitor post-deployment performance and maintain documentation for handover.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI, and APIC environments.
  • Proven track record in enterprise firewall policy deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in configuring and supporting F5 GTM and LTM appliances.
  • Solid understanding of network capacity planning and performance monitoring.
  • CCNP / CCIE or equivalent industry certifications are highly regarded.
