Digital science associate

BP Energy seeks a Digital Science Associate to apply advanced analytics and data science across power, gas, and low carbon portfolios. Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy data models to support power and gas trading, risk, and portfolio optimization.
• Analyze large energy market datasets to generate actionable insights for commercial and low carbon strategies.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines and analytical dashboards for stakeholders across trading and operations.
• Collaborate with traders, engineers, and commercial teams to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
• Prototype and implement machine learning and forecasting models for demand, price, and renewable generation.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and documentation of analytical assets and workflows.
• Communicate complex analytical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of analytics tools, methods, and best practices within BP Energy.
