Azure Cloud Engineer-Tolling

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer-Tolling to join the Engineering & Operations team. This role will support the design, implementation, administration, troubleshooting, and ongoing operations of Azure cloud infrastructure and tolling applications.

The engineer will work across Azure cloud services, API Gateways, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Application Insights, Microsoft 365/Office 365, Entra ID, security, monitoring, backup/recovery, and application support. The position also includes rotational help-desk and operational support

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting VDOT / E-ZPass Virginia tolling applications, infrastructure, and cloud workloads.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting tolling transaction flows, roadway sensor data ingestion, and application performance.
• Experience working in Windows environments.
• Strong experience with Azure cloud operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Experience with Office 365/Microsoft 365 services.
• Experience administering Entra ID and Single Sign-On (SSO).
• Experience with SecretServer privileged access management.
• Experience with Rubrik backup and recovery for Azure IaaS/PaaS.
• Strong scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python.
• Experience creating network and system topology diagrams/documentation.
• Experience with Power Apps.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure certification.
• Experience with Azure API Gateway/API Management.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Experience with Azure networking, IAM, security, and governance.
• Experience with disaster recovery and high-availability architectures.
• Experience supporting government or transportation-sector IT environments.
