Job Description

Role Description The Senior Architect role is a full-time, on-site position based in Galveston, TX. This role is responsible for leading architectural design efforts for high-performance building projects, including conceptual development, detailed design, and technical documentation. The Senior Architect will coordinate closely with project managers, engineering disciplines, and software development teams to ensure effective integration of building systems and commissioning requirements. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing design reviews, guiding junior staff, preparing drawings and specifications, and supporting construction administration activities such as site visits, RFIs, and submittal reviews. The role also involves client communication, participation in project planning and scheduling, and contributing to quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including building envelope design and high-performance building systems.
Experience with Integration of multidisciplinary systems and collaboration with Software Development teams on project-specific tools or workflows.
Demonstrated Project Management abilities, including planning, coordination, and leadership across project phases.
Proficiency with industry-standard design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms) and familiarity with building codes and standards.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field; professional licensure as a Registered Architect (or active pursuit of licensure) preferred.
Prior experience in building commissioning, building envelopes, or high-performance building design is highly beneficial.
Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members and work collaboratively with diverse disciplines.
Ability to work on-site in Galveston, TX, including occasional travel to project locations as needed.
