Role: Android Developer

Location: Westlake, TX/ Durham, NC/ Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)

Duration: Fulltime + Bonus + Benefits

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable mobile applications using Kotlin, Jetpack, and Jetpack Compose. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with modern Android architecture, automated testing and mobile DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop Android applications using Kotlin, Android Studio, Jetpack, and Jetpack Compose.
Implement applications using MVVM and Clean Architecture principles.
Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) and maintain high-quality automated test coverage.
Perform unit, UI, regression, and integration testing.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Fastlane, Shell Scripting, and Gradle.
Configure and automate application builds and releases using Gradle Kotlin DSL.
Integrate third-party libraries and services including Google Firebase, Adobe, and LaunchDarkly.
Build and distribute internal Android SDKs using JFrog Artifactory.
Implement analytics, remote lifecycle management, and cloud-based capabilities within Android applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while maintaining application performance, security, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate with architects, application owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional Agile teams.

Required Skills

Strong experience with Kotlin, Android Studio, Jetpack, and Jetpack Compose.
Hands-on experience with MVVM and Clean Architecture.
Strong knowledge of TDD and automated testing.
Experience with AndroidX Test, Mockito, MockK, Espresso, and UI Automator.
Experience building Android applications from the ground up.
Hands-on experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Fastlane, Shell Scripting, and Gradle.
Strong understanding of CI/CD and mobile DevOps.
Experience with Gradle Kotlin DSL and automated application bundling.
Experience integrating Firebase, Adobe, and LaunchDarkly.
Experience with JFrog Artifactory and Android SDK distribution.
Strong understanding of Android application architecture, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
