Job description

Head of Data & Analytics - London

Hybrid working - £100K plus bonus

I'm working with a growing organisation looking for an experienced Head of Data & Analytics to own their data strategy, platform and analytics function.

This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a small team while remaining technically involved where needed. You'll have real ownership of the data agenda and the opportunity to shape how data is used across the business.

The Role

  • Own and deliver the Data & Analytics strategy

  • Manage and develop a small data team

  • Stay hands-on technically when required

  • Lead the architecture and optimisation of Microsoft Fabric, Databricks & Power BI

  • Oversee data engineering, pipelines, lakes, warehouses and integrations

  • Drive advanced analytics, predictive modelling and ML

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to turn data into actionable business insight

  • Champion self-service BI and Power BI

  • Own data governance, quality, security and compliance

  • Identify new technologies and opportunities to drive innovation

About You

We're looking for a senior data leader with a strong technical background and the ability to operate strategically.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience leading a Data & Analytics function

  • Strong Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and Power BI experience

  • A background across data engineering, architecture and analytics

  • Experience managing a small team

  • The ability and willingness to remain hands-on

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including at C-suite level

  • A good understanding of data governance and security
