Gatwick Area | £44,000 + 10% Bonus | Continental Days Only

I'm recruiting for a Day Shift Engineer to join a major data centre owner/operator at a modern campus in the Gatwick area.

This is a client-side Data Centre Engineering position working a continental days-only pattern, ideal for an electrical engineer who wants to stay in a critical environment without working nights.

Package

• £44,000 basic

• 10% annual bonus - £4,400

• £48,400 potential annual cash earnings

• Continental days only

• Overtime available

• 12-hour shifts

• Approx. 14-15 shifts per month

The Role

As a Day Shift Engineer, you'll support the safe and reliable operation of critical infrastructure across a modern data centre campus in the Gatwick area.

Duties will include:

• Planned and reactive maintenance

• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding

• UPS and standby generators

• BMS monitoring

• Critical cooling systems

• Switching and isolations

• Safe systems of work

• Emergency operating procedures

• Contractor support and supervision

• General site inspections and plant monitoring

The ideal Day Shift Engineer will have an electrical bias and experience within a data centre, critical environment, Building Services or other high-resilience engineering setting.

A relevant electrical or mechanical qualification is required, with previous exposure to critical M&E systems highly desirable.

This is a strong opportunity to move into a client-side Data Centre Engineering role in the Gatwick area on a days-only shift pattern.
