Position Summary:
Seeking a seasoned PeopleSoft HCM Business Analyst to translate technical documentation into clear business requirements, drive solution design, and perform deep data analysis across Benefits, Payroll, and Job Data. The role partners closely with business and technical teams, leveraging advanced SQL and PeopleSoft expertise to support integrations, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements; convert technical specs into functional designs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and IT stakeholders to validate requirements, process impacts, and solution approaches
- Write and analyze complex SQL (Oracle) with multi-table joins and effective-dated logic (EFFDT) for data profiling, reconciliation, and issue resolution
- Build and validate PeopleSoft queries; analyze PeopleSoft HCM tables related to Benefits, Payroll, and Job data
- Support inbound/outbound data exchanges and file transfers using FTP/SFTP; define file layouts and perform data mapping
- Document current/future-state process flows, data dictionaries, and solution recommendations
- Support system and user acceptance testing (test cases, scenarios, expected results); assist with defect triage and remediation
- Provide production support, root-cause analysis, and knowledge transfer; maintain traceability and audit-ready documentation

Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Business Analyst experience, including substantial work within PeopleSoft HCM
- Proven ability to interpret technical requirements and produce clear, actionable business deliverables
- Advanced SQL proficiency (complex joins, subqueries, effective-dated records)
- Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM tables and concepts in Benefits, Payroll, and Job data
- Working knowledge of FTP/SFTP processes and flat-file integrations
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills; ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.x and PeopleTools 8.5x; PS Query expertise
- Familiarity with Integration Broker, file layouts, and common HR/Payroll third-party interfaces
- Background in benefits enrollment cycles, eligibility rules, payroll processing, and retro/deductions analysis
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, HRIS, Business, or related field
