Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Teamcenter Infrastructure Administrator to join our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrade, and performance tuning of our Siemens Teamcenter PLM environment. You will work closely with PLM developers, solution architects, network/cloud engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure high availability, scalability, and security across multi-tier environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Environment Maintenance & Administration: Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Teamcenter corporate servers, Active Workspace Server (AWS), Microservices, Server Pool Managers, and Enterprise Servers.
  • Infrastructure Management: Manage multi-tier (2-Tier and 4-Tier) Teamcenter architectures across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
  • Performance Tuning & Optimization: Monitor system health, analyze logs, identify bottlenecks, and tune web servers, database connections, and volume servers (FMS/FSC/FCC).
  • Deployment & Release Management: Manage BMIDE deployments, client installs (Rich Client/AWC), and patches across complex deployment pipelines.
  • Security & Access Control: Configure and maintain Access Manager, Organization structure, ACLs, SSL, SSO, and user group/role permissions.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design, execute, and test disaster recovery, backup strategies, and failover/high-availability mechanisms.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide L2/L3 support for critical infrastructure, database/network connectivity, and Active Workspace issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • PLM Expertise: 4+ years of hands-on experience in Teamcenter Infrastructure Administration (Teamcenter 12x/13x/14x and Active Workspace 5x/6x).
  • Architecture Knowledge: Strong understanding of 2-tier and 4-tier Teamcenter architecture, FSC/FCC configuration, TCCS, Microservices, and Pool Managers.
  • Operating Systems & Scripting: Proficiency with Windows Server / Linux operating systems, with scripting skills in PowerShell, Shell, or Python for automation.
  • Web & Middleware: Experience with Web Application Servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, IIS, Apache) and SSO implementation (SAML, Okta, Active Directory).
  • Database Management: Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL) as they interact with Teamcenter.
  • Cloud Infrastructure (Preferred): Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform hosting for PLM environments.
