Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE).
 
Position type: Contract
Duration: 12 to 18 months
Location: Pennington, NJ (4 days Onsite for 6 months and then 3 days onsite).
 
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE, you will:
 
Work on automation, Tool development, fixing Infra problems and provide innovative solutions to ensure that application infrastructure is in good health and scalable. The candidate will join a large global team that provides 24 24x7 support of a Global Risk Management Platform. This role requires 2nd Shift Working hours and occasional weekend support on Rotation
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with multiple global teams and able to deliver with minimal mentoring
• Evaluate/analyze existing technology components of the team and able to come up with ideas for improvement and present to global teams for brainstorming/implementations
• L3 support during Client business hours.
• Candidates will be working on shift ROTA covering 8 x 7 including Weekend coverage based on Rota
• Candidates will be managing and implementing end-to-end Linux based infrastructure that hosts many critical core components such as Database, GRID Computing, Enterprise Job Schedulers Messaging Platforms
• Supporting and monitoring application infrastructure and various internal core components and dependent technologies
• Ensures application issues on Infrastructures are addressed, proactively fixed even before the end user realizes it
• Candidates should be a quick learner and understands in-house and third-party technologies

• Candidates should be familiar about SDLC and Release Management
• Excellent knowledge in Linux OS internals and Operational OS skills
• Expertise in handling overall IT Infrastructure Scheduled maintenance
• Strong programming skills (in any one of the programming language - java or Python)
• Strong analytical skills; in-depth, hands-on experience in Global Markets Post Trade services
• Good understanding of ITIL methodologies
• Understanding of SRE concepts and good hands-on knowledge on using DevOps tools and Technologies
• Good to have Azure and AWS cloud exposure.
• Exposure to Dynatrace and Splunk.
• Strong communicate skills - verbal and written
• Good interpersonal skills that allow delivering together as a team
