Senior Cloud / Server Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Cloud / Server Engineer with strong hands-on experience building and supporting scalable backend applications and cloud-based services.

The role requires strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kubernetes, REST APIs, databases, and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and AWS. The engineer should also be comfortable working on application scalability, caching, performance, debugging, testing, and production monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain microservices-based applications.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs.
• Work with cloud environments including Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS.
• Deploy and support applications running on Kubernetes.
• Work with SQL and MongoDB for application data requirements.
• Design and develop services with scalability and performance in mind.
• Implement and manage appropriate caching mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot application, API, performance, and integration issues.
• Write and maintain unit tests.
• Perform and support API testing.
• Follow secure coding practices during application development.
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications using tools such as Datadog and Grafana.
• Use GitHub for source code management and Jira for work tracking.
• Use AI-assisted SDLC tools such as Claude, Codex, Gemini CLI, or similar tools where appropriate during development.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 8 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and developing microservices.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Strong experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with MongoDB.
• Good understanding of application scalability and caching.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, Gemini CLI, or equivalent tools.
• Experience with GitHub and Jira.
• Strong understanding of unit testing.
• Experience with API testing.
• Understanding of secure coding practices.
• Experience with Datadog and/or Grafana.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
